Name and characteristics of thermal insulation coatings

  Insulation coatings are a new type of ideal insulation material with low thermal conductivity, easy construction, oil resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, and no pollution. They are divided into water-repellent silicate thermal insulation coatings and adhesive powder polystyrene particle exterior wall insulation coatings. The former is composed of high-quality sepiolite wool, aluminum silicate fiber, expanded perlite, silicone, and other high-quality thermal insulation materials and polymer composites, with excellent thermal insulation performance, widely used in wall insulation, tank insulation, cold storage insulation, and pipeline insulation. The latter is a new type of insulation material, composed of adhesive powder and polystyrene particles. The construction process consists of an insulation layer, a crack-resistant protective layer, and a waterproof finish layer. The insulation layer uses adhesive powder polystyrene particle insulation mortar, the crack-resistant protective layer adds plastic-coated alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh to the crack-resistant mortar, and the waterproof layer applies elastic primer to the surface of the protective layer. The finish is paint and tiles. This system is developed based on the advanced slurry materials and application technologies of developed countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, and Germany. Its main features include:

  1. Excellent weather resistance. Low thermal conductivity, stable thermal insulation performance, high softening coefficient, freeze-thaw resistance, and anti-aging.

  2. Soft crack-resistant technology is adopted. The elastic modulus change indicators of each layer of materials are matched and gradually change layer by layer, combining allowable deformation with limited deformation, which can disperse and resolve deformation stress at any time. The base layer has strong adaptability to deformation, effectively preventing the generation of wall cracks.

  3. The system has no cavity, strong resistance to negative wind pressure, and is suitable for multi-story and high-rise buildings.

  4. Good air permeability and strong breathing function, with good waterproof function and the ability to drain moisture from the insulation layer.

  5. Fire rating is B1.

  6. Convenient construction. The pre-mixed dry-mixed and lightweight aggregate packaging technology avoids inaccurate weighing at the construction site. It can be constructed at multiple points and multiple layers, and the speed is fast.

  7. Strong correction ability. It is suitable for construction with uneven structures and can effectively correct local deviations.

  8. Relatively low comprehensive cost.
